Isabel was born in Melbourne, Australia. She has a mother who is Swiss and her father Australian. Her family came from Cairns, Australia. They resided at Cairns Australia. Alongside her sister Nina they attended schools with children of all race and ethnicity. Isabel is currently living in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was involved in the drama since her school years. After graduating from the Queensland Institute of Technology (QUT), she pursued a degree in drama at the Victoria College of Arts. Additionally, she recently completed a course in the Perdekamp emotional method. In 2002, she was not ever auditioned. She auditioned to be a character of Home and Away 1988. The producers felt she wasn't suitable for the role, however they were pleasantly surprised to create a different role to her Tasha. Isabel played her debut TV part for three years. Her performance was lauded and she was awarded a Logie Award. Isabel was transferred from the city of London in 2008 to Los Angeles in 2008. Her debut came in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen 2009. Since 2010, she has been the patron ambassador for Melbourne's Human Rights and Arts Film Festival.
